The following sections outline some of the more common exercises that can be used to engage with participants in live sessions.
1: Screensharing
Moderators and participants can share their screen without needing any additional downloads. This can be useful for usability studies.

Note: The above screenshot shows the Participant’s view of a Moderator sharing their screen.
2: Stimuli
Digital Interviews currently allows moderators to display .jpg, .png, .gif, and .pdf files (stimuli) during the session. When permitted by the moderator, users can also draw on .jpg, .png, and .gif files.
Note: Users are not able to draw on .pdf files.

See Displaying Stimuli and Draw Tools for more information on how to display and draw on the stimuli.
3: Polling Questions
There are four types of polling questions that can be displayed in Digital Interviews. The Moderator is able to see the results of the poll in real time.
- Multiple Choice – Single Answer questions: Participants may select only one answer to the question.

- Multiple Choice – Multiple Answer questions: Participants may select multiple answers to the question.

- Open-ended text questions: Participants answer the question in their own words.

- Ranking Exercises: Participants drag and drop available answers to rank them in order.

See Conducting Polls in the Live Meeting Room and Adding Polls in Stimuli Templates for more information on adding and displaying polls.
